We knew we would build a website but our local SEO strategy would need to be loud and our keyword research would drive blog/page entries.
When we began working with a small church in Richardson, Texas we knew we wanted them to be true to their core messaging. Like any cause-based organization, a church is made of people who care passionately about what they are doing.
One of the key advantages Arapaho United Methodist Church has is that they are on the corner of a busy intersection so we have spent a number of months looking for effective messages to put on the sign. We have had a few that got a lot of response but none more than this simple message: "Tweet others as you want to be tweeted."
You can read into that however you like in the political climate we currently find ourselves in but we are proud to play a role in helping a small community of faith make a large impact with a simple message. Their Facebook post of the sign is now approaching 70,000 views.
Lyric videos have become really important to an artist radio campaign. If you can build numbers then you can convince radio programmers that the single has impact. Mat Kearney's "Just Kids" album was in the midst of a major marketing push with Inpop Records and Republic Records when The Groundswell did creative direction for his single "Air I Breathe."
Mat spoke into the direction and we partnered with our friend Joel Banta to create an amazing video. It is one of Mat's top performing videos all time now above 4 million views!
We love Matt Papa. It was so fun to pair him with Christian Paschall - a great producer and Maren Morris' drummer. The five-song ep has had a strong showing and has received rave reviews from Relevant Magazine and Worship Leader Magazine. Matt's hymn, "His Mercy Is More" is a standout from this project and is a top-performing song at CCLI.
An indie record label, Inpop Records, had a new team and wanted a new story, website and direct-to-consumer platform including email and social media. The backbone of this site was built on Nationbuilder which would allow Inpop to do CRM for a street team. We integrated the record label's entire musical catalog to enhance its SEO ability and to drive traffic.
We were priviledge to partner with a video production firm to project manage and deliver a series of memorable videos for The Urban Alternative - The Ministry of Dr. Tony Evans. Dr. Evans TV based ministry reaches millions around the globe and his impact in Dallas is immense. He has served as chaplain for the Dallas Cowboys and The Dallas Mavericks so it was pretty fun to get to work with #9.
When a publisher comes to you and asks you to create a new story, logo and website for them the challenge is exciting. It is always fun for us to get to find a new brand. We put the right creative team together and built a new logo and a great website with some really unique functionality that allows Centricity Publishing to promote their writers (Lauren Daigle, Jordan Feliz, Seth Mosley) and songs in a compelling way. The special part of this site is its dynamic content paired with a B2B focus. A music publisher isn't a direct-to-consumer entity so our challenge was to create a dynamic, consumer friendly front-end that worked well for a B2B company.

In 2016 we worked with V.Rose and were able to pull in Hip-hop artist Flame in a studio in Nashville, TN for the "Money$ On You" video. The Groundswell provided creative guidance, executive production and project management for this video which was created in two phases. Phase 1 was the traditional video shoot which we did with Patrick Tohill (NF, Newsboys). Phase 2 was the lyric portion.
This video was done on a shoestring budget but you wouldn't know that and we are proud of that fact.
After going over a year with a site in development represented by only a splash page. Matt Papa's site was stalled out in its process. We new it would be a challenge to jumpstart the process again and we wanted to build a dynamic hub-based site that would the Matt Papa brand to grow and adapt with today's new tech.
In our opinion, Squarespace websites allow you the most opportunity to do this. Matt's new site which we launched in 2016 is scoring 93/100 in its SEO abilities and we expect that number to climb as he engages more dynamic content.
For Entertainment One, we built a ten-city pop-up merch store at all of the Verizon “How Sweet The Sound” competition including Radio City Music Hall, Arie Crown Theater in Chicago and the Fox Theater in Detroit.
